So, the next big event was field day at Emily and Abbi's school. It's a little different than when I was a kid where you signed up for events independently, competed and either won or lost. Now, you gotta protect their self esteem so there are no individual competitions. They compete as a class. And there is no declared winner or loser at the end. Go ahead, roll your eyes. I did.
Nevertheless, the kids love it. They look forward to it every year. And they have a blast.

| Abbi is waiting for her turn at the balloon pop relay. |
| Amazingly enough, she popped it on the first sit. |
| Abbi in one of the many water relays |
| Abbi is concentrating hard on the rock wall. |
| The is a different kind of event where 2 kids get inside this thing and try to propel it forward by crawling. There are also 2 other kids on the outside helping by pushing them. |
| 3rd grade field day was on a different day. Their class had more teamwork type events. |
| On this event, they had to work together to move forward while on the planks. It's harder than it looks. |
| The balloon toss game. It's a favorite among the kids. |
| I got several pictures of Emily with this face while catching the balloon. It's her, catching a water balloon face. |
| And this is her happy dance. (which she's done since infancy) |
| Emily and 2 of her good friends, Lexi and Ally. |
